To resolve all clashes and create a coordinated model between fire protection service and structural, HVAC and plumbing services for two floors of education building. Architectural, Structural, MEP drawings andFire-Revit model were provided by client as inputs.

Project Summary

This client contacted us with an objective to develop clash-free coordinated MEP model for a School in California. Tesla’s scope of work was to detect and provide resolution to clashes between fire protection service and structural, HVAC and plumbing service of the project. Total estimated hours for the project was 450 man hours and delivery schedule was 20 working days. There were 2 resources who were allocated on the project apart from the quality checker.

Our team of 2 MEP Modelers resolved all clashes between fire protection services and structural, HVAC, Plumbing service.

Challenges

There were several challenges that we faced with the clashes between structural and Plumbing part. The clashes needed structural design team intervention as the members were clashing with the structural members.
– Very short turnaround time: Approximately 450 hour worth Job had to be completed in 20 working days.
– There were 2 resources who were allocated on the project apart from the quality checker.
